Brief Technical Profile:

Dr Xudong Xie received the B.Eng. degree in electronic engineering and the M.Sc. degree in signal and information processing from the Department of Electric Engineering, TsinghuaUniversity, Beijing, in 1999 and 2002, respectively. In September 2002, he undertook a Ph.D. degree program in the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, and received thePh.D. degrees in February 2006. From March 2008 to October 2008, he was a Research Associate at the Department of Electronic Engineering, The City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong.After being a Postdoctoral Research Affiliate at the Department of Electric Engineering,TsinghuaUniversity, Beijing, he has been with the Broadband Network and DigitalMediaCenter at the Department of Automation, School of Information Science and Technology, TsinghuaUniversity, Beijing, China, where he is currently a lecture.
